Bands are so mysterious when there's not a liner note to be found. Who are these folks? What's their deal? After getting over the absence of information, I resigned to let the music just speak for itself. And it does. In fact, this subdued and melancholy music is simple and better left uncluttered by printed lyrics and pages of thank-yous. Minute after minute unfolds by the rolling of classical guitars and gentle, oceanic white noise. Cello and flute add to the classical feel and like the tide, this disc ebbs and flows with each song, creating new-age, dreamlike impressions. The feather-light voice of June Serwa could be the spectre of Nico and suits the laziness of the songs. Experimental yet still melodic. A perfect way to ease into the hazy days of autumn.
